Data Office Groups

Factual reference for the entitlement groups managed by the Data Office and data producers.

All data viewer groups are managed by the Data Office.

Viewer groups (read access)

Managed by the Data Office. Naming pattern: data.office.<keyword>.viewers

Owner groups (write access)

Despite the name, these groups are used by Data Producer teams, not the Data Owner. The Data Owner / Data Office grants access by assigning Data Producer teams to these groups. See Data Producer Groups for the full list.

ACL assignment rules by data type

When data is ingested, each record includes an Access Control List (ACL) that defines which data groups have permission to view, edit, or delete it. The required ACLs depend on the type of data.

Reference data and master data

Access to reference and master data is managed through:

data.office.global.viewers

Work product components (Internal data)

For data classified as Internal, two ACLs must be applied:

data.office.<country>.viewers
data.office.<asset>.viewers

Restricted data

Access to restricted data is controlled through custom ACLs, limited to authorised personnel only.
